Inspector Chronicles Reached Its Funding Goal

Travis Richey, the actor who portrayed "Inspector Spacetime" on Community, who now plays "The Inspector" in various independent spin-off media, announced it yesterday on twitter. They reached their funding goal and they're going to move on to the next phase, which is making a movie.

You can still contribute, though. It seems unlikely that a project of this scope will come in under the $25,000 they raised. That's enough money to get them started, and to get backers interested, but they could always use more. So there's still time, and also space.

So, in addition to the cast of the web series, Season one, we're going to see Chase Masterson, Robert Picardo, Mayim Bialik and Sylvester McCoy in this outing.

Also, there's the prequel short, which sets up the story for the upcoming film:

So that's pretty exciting. I'm putting out a hearty congratulations to the Inspector and crew. This is something I'm really looking forward to.

Also, it looks like at least one Doctor Who fansite is hoping they get Karen Gillan.
