Messersmith's "Tourniquet" Free to Download

MPR have put a new song by Jeremy Messersmith online to stream or download.
I like this tune. It's a big departure from much of his past work but there's still this inherent Messersmithian quality about it. There've been some glimpses of a new direction over the years. Moments like this one, when we had him on as a special guest of the Rockstar Storytellers, seemed to indicate a smart, folksy sort of thing on the horizon.
Well, this new track is all the smart you'd expect, sans the folksy, and it's good. It's probably not something I can write about in any of my usual arts outlets without looking like I'm just writing about my friends, but I'm at least on the record here saying I can't wait to hear the whole thing.
